Research Center

The ZDA mining research center was established in 2019 on the territory of the concentration complex. Its purpose is scientific and technical support of the Company`s activities in all areas of exploration, production and processing of gold ores. The Center uses advanced technologies and equipment. The Center includes the following laboratories:

  • The mineralogical research laboratory, which, in order to optimize exploration, mining and processing activities, is engaged in the study of ores at deposits for which the Company holds licenses. The tasks of this laboratory include the accumulation of data on the mineral and chemical composition, structural and textural features of the host rocks and ores, the properties of ores during processing, as well as on the gold recovery rates.
  • The ore concentration laboratory is one of the basic divisions of the research center. Its tasks include the development of technological processes for ore beneficiation, gravity separation, leaching, and other technological processes.
  • The Laboratory of Hydrometallurgical Processes develops technologies for the complex processing of ores using leaching, sorption and heat treatment processes. It also conducts research on the development of new sorbents and alternative non-cyanide leach additives, as well as waste treatment and refining technologies.
  • The analysis laboratory specializes in assessing the content of gold and other valuable metals in ore, ore concentrates and ore processing products, as well as in the development and improvement of accurate measurement technologies.
  • The Pyrometallurgical Processes Laboratory develops ore heat treatment technologies to minimize the environmental impact of these operations.
